Abstract
This paper describes the method for measurement of the complex permittivity and the complex initial permeability of ferrite substrate. For this purpose, the two section dielectric resonator structure operating in the TE018-mode is applied. The results of measurements in the simplified measurement set-up are presented as well as the optimal structures and optimal conditions of measurements are described. For measurements in the optimal structures, the measurement accuracy of real parts of permittivity and permeability is usually better than 0.5% and the accuracy of the loss tangent measurements is about 10%.
