Abstract :
The topic of coexistence between Bluetooth and other communication systems has been addressed in the literature. In this paper, the effects of EM radiation from the 3rd harmonic of an 800 MHz mobile phone, in the transmission mode, on the relevant performance impairment are determined. The measurement of harmonic emission level of a GSM 800 mobile phone was conducted at the FCC certified (3 m anechoic chamber), FAU EMI R&D Laboratory. Furthermore, in this research, a polarization-switching strategy is utilized to overcome the influence of EMI due to unintentional signals from the mobile phone system.
