Abstract :
Most electromagnetic (EM) simulation packages, such as the FDTD simulation package, are available on X Windows and require high performance and maintenance of the PC, so it is necessary to develop EM simulation systems on line. This paper discusses the methodology and development of a FDTD-based simulation system on line, which enables clients to simulate complex FDTD problems and visualize the results in different platforms at different locations. Web applications techniques, including Java and components, socket communication, and multithreading programming are discussed in the paper.
