Abstract :
Results of systematic simulation studies for a mismatched 2D round beam in an ideal transport channel with continuous linear focusing are presented. Emittance growth rates obtained from the simulations for different amounts of mismatch and initial charge are presented. The emittance growth is compared with the theory.<>
