Abstract
Transfer calibration method is one of the principal calibration methods, but there is still lack of the calibration for MICROTOPS II hand-held sun photometer with this method by domestic scholar. The article makes transfer calibration and accuracy verification for MICROTOPS II hand-held sun photometer by using CE318 sun photometer which has been calibrated accurately. The verification result shows that both the absolute errors and relative errors of the aerosol optical thickness (AOT) on each channel are small. Among these errors, the peak of the AOT average absolute error is 0.0105, additionally, the calibration error of the principal instrument CE318 is 0.01, so the final calibration error is 0.0205 which shows a satisfactory accuracy of the calibration.
