Abstract
An earthquake is a kind of serious disaster and needs much information in earthquake emergency response. Because of the important reference value of emergency cases, a case model is necessary to describe knowledge of the resource, process, and action and so on in the earthquake emergency response. Facing to the problem of heterogeneousness of earthquake cases stored by web pages, an Emergency Case Ontology Model is proposed. This model is divided into upper ontology and application ontology. The upper ontology is called eABC based on the ABC ontology, and the application ontology is composed of Emergency Case Subject, Emergency Case Object, and Emergency Event Developmental Process and so on. Web Resource Location is considered to assess the reliability of the cases information. Finally, an example of the description of the Wenchuan earthquake is given to testify to the validity of the model.
