Abstract :
Fractal study is one of the most important content in modern theoretic geography, and fractal dimension is an effective parameter which describes the structure of the urban system. For quantitative analysis of the fractal characteristics of urban system of Central Plains Economic Zone and by calculating the Hausdorff number, fractal characteristics of size distribution of urban system of Central Plains Economic Region is analyzed. By calculating the correlation dimension and the cluster dimension and from two aspects of spatial correlation of the city elements and the centripetalism of urban stochastic agglomeration, fractal characteristics of spatial structure of urban system in the Central Plains Economic Region is analyzed.
