  • Abstract
For years, scientists have been studying ants, wasps and bees because pf the amazing efficiency of their collective efforts. Now corporate houses are actually putting that research to work, with impressive paybacks. Swarm intelligence is becoming a valuable tool for optimizing the operations of various business, as the field of swarm intelligence deals with systems composed of many individuals that coordinate using decentralized control and self-organization. In particular, it focuses on the collective behaviors that result from the local interactions of the individuals with each other and with their environment. It is a fast-growing field that encompasses the efforts of researchers in multiple disciplines, ranging from ethology and social science to operations research and computer engineering. The authors of this paper has tried to elaborate swarm intelligence for the purpose of improving management efficiency.
