Abstract
We present recent progress in development of a high power picosecond 100kHz regenerative amplifier based on Yb:YAG thin-disk technology. We employed both conventional 940nm pumping and zero-phonon-line pumping (969nm) to compare the output characteristics. The amplification output under the zero-phonon-line pumping was achieved more than twice of the output under the conventional pumping. We found that the surface temperature of thin disk at 250W pumping in both wavelengths differed 120K.
