Abstract
This paper describes an experience on the development of virtual procedures for diagnostic system testing. One of the main problems in the development of algorithms for diagnostic systems is the availability of data for testing purpose. The authors describes the possibility of an open platform for simulation to accomplish this task. The capability of describing sophisticated and custom models within the simulation environment are deeply investigated and comparison with experimental data are performed.
