Abstract :
An analysis of a simple adaptive filter for the cancellation of single tone disturbances is carried out. It is shown that under a wide range of sampling frequencies, an exact linear time invariant model exists for adapted parameter estimates. Linear design techniques can then be used in lieu of more conservative perturbation techniques to improve adaptive tracking speed while maintaining stability margins
