  • Abstract
    China covers a vast territory, with a wide range of plants spreading throughout the country. It is never easy to accurately identify the species of one certain plant or its medicinal features. This paper studied and has achieved an automatic recognition system of medicinal plants. With the leaf image recognition of medicinal plants as its core, the system involves the up-to-date technologies of image processing and neural network. The system has boosted the transformation of medicinal plant recognition from manual basis to semi-automation. It is good for overcoming the subjectivity of human beings and has accelerated the recognition, and it will be popular among a wide range of users.
