Major in the heat-exchange surface slag problem of a power plant coal power boiler, Phase Doppler Anemometer (PDA) gas-solid two-phase measure technology was applied to six corners tangentially fired boiler for the first time, the primary air and secondary air of top burner were changed to homocentric two tangential circles arrangement form, through theoretic analysis, turbulence characteristics at burner region was study by cold model experiment, to seek slag reason of experiment prototype. Initial case and improved case were contrasted and analyzed, experimental study show that improved case compensated the performance scarcity of six corners tangentially boiler to some extent. Moreover, adopting homocentric two tangential circles of primary air and secondary air properly could improve turbulence characteristics in furnace effectively, thus, slag is control.
