Abstract
We seek by this work to tackle the problems of electrodes´ durability of a lithotriptor, which is intended to break a renal calculus. These electrodes functioning in a liquid medium are made up of a composite material. However, in spite of their high prices, these electrodes bear only 3000 electric discharges corresponding to a net time utilization of approximately one hour. It is thus a question of looking for reducing the cost of lithotherapeutics exploitation by replacing the used composite material by a homogenous material which is available in the local market even if it is less resistant to erosion than the first.
