Abstract :
In the IEEE 802.16d Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) physical layer protocol, which provides the Space-Time Coding (STC) scheme to improve system performance, it is possible to get a better performance in resisting multipath fading and increasing bandwidth efficiency. However, in projects, using Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) multiple-antenna technology is usually inconvenient because of the limitation of volume and energy. Cooperation among nodes can make up for the lack of MIMO multiple antenna technology exactly. In this paper, a STC scheme with cooperation technology for IEEE 802.16d is proposed. Compared with MIMO STC scheme in mesh mode, this paper demonstrates the use of cooperative STC scheme which could improve the system performance obviously for network configuration (NCFG) control message in mesh mode.
