Abstract :
This paper presents an experimental investigation of temperature and velocity distribution around a semi-cylindrical diffuser in a large space building. The airflow and temperature distribution characteristics and the relationship between temperature field and velocity field around the diffuser under different supply air volume were experimentally investigated; The temperature boundary layer and velocity boundary layer in cross section under different supply air volume were drawn. It was found the profiles of airflow´s track line and lowest temperature line of the symmetric line and center line. A preliminary analysis of air flow collision and its effect on room thermal environment was given in this paper.
