Abstract :
To enable an engineer to have confidence in running a newly developed CEM code, for industrial purposes, the benchmarking of that code is vital. However, this is not a trivial exercise and this paper summarises some of the important issues that have arisen in various benchmarking projects, applied to the BAE SYSTEMS fast full-field solver - FM3D. These include obtaining a converged solution, the quality of the mesh and underlying CAD and comparison of results and performance data.
