Abstract :
This paper outlines current status of digital basin modeling, the special geological significance of old-age buried hill reservoir exploration, and necessity of establishing the modeling system, which are designed under GIS, IDL, VC# software environment, and introduces design object, design principle, main data, 3D geological modeling and basic function of the age-old buried hill modeling system based on 3D digital basin model, besides, provides some 3D result pictures about buried hill geological modeling of a basin acquired through the system. The system gives a more reasonable, dynamic, timely, and intuitional judging and analyzing method to research buried hill structure and oil & gas. Researches can abstract the subtle geological information of the structure and Petroleum, and estimate the rationality and consistency about the known basin model data according to data superposition from many different origins in 3D space, then, can discover the law of tectonic modeling and petroleum accumulation to decision support for future exploring and exploiting oil & gas.
