Abstract :
An extended power balance measurement treating of harmonic component is proposed for FC-TCR type SVC for asymmetric loads compensation in this paper. The universal power definition based on cyc-function space is implemented. A weighted factor in control algorithm is introduced to control harmonic component after compensating in the range of fundamental compensation. This method, which considers harmonic suppression and VAr compensation as a uniform target, suppresses harmonics effectively in dynamic reactive power compensation using SVC. Finally, correctness and feasibility of this control algorithm are proved by OMIB simulation.
