Abstract
Inter-satellite link (ISL) is an important part of the next generation of GNSS, as well as a significant symbol of GNSS modernization. This paper analyzes the future GNSS inter-satellite geometric properties and spatial parameters and studies the signal scheme of ISL. A novel tracking algorithm using Kalman Filter assisted by ephemeris is proposed to deal with the high dynamic and low carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) ISL signals. Simulation results have shown that the proposed algorithm can achieve higher track precision than the traditional approach using Phase Lock Loop (PLL) assisted by Frequency Lock Loop (FLL).
