Abstract :
With the scale of wind power expanding each year, the traditional method for determining spinning reserve capacity is no longer applicable. In this paper, the author analyses the probability distribution of the wind power output error, and brings it into the power system reliability calculations, to replace the power system reliability index constraints based on the original spinning reserve constraint. At last, the author uses Lagrangian relaxation method to solve the unit combinations, and the result shows that the proposed method for determining spinning reserve is feasible on the economy and reliability.
