Abstract :
Electromyography (EMG) signal is related to electrical muscle activity. It is well known that variations in the median frequency (MDF) extracted from the power spectrum density of EMG signal are related to changes in muscle fatigue. The aim of this study was to study the influence of various spectral estimate methods to MDF, including nonparametric and parametric methods. Furthermore, 2D EMG array was used to evaluate the spatio-temporal evolution of fatigue in flexor carpi radialis muscle.
