Abstract :
The method of bi-arc approximation for NURBS curve is put forward. The approaching principle and error using bi-arc segment is discussed in detail. Its bi-arc segment is tangent each other, first derivative continuous, step length transformable, numerical control approaching error controllable. The example shows the algorithm is simple and its approaching precision is high.
