Abstract :
In the near future along with the advent of WIMAX, 3GPP has also started a long-term evolution of UMTS technology project. Presently, the basic channel transmission technology of uplink and downlink has been determined, up-SC (single carrier)-FDMA, downlink using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technology. Characteristic specifically for the wireless decaying channel, a new channel estimation method on OFDM systems was given based on discrete wavelet transform in this article. Channel estimation signal was adapted by the discrete wavelet transform in the time- frequency and transform domain. Such method could better track channel change and eliminate the noise remarkably in the received pilot signal, and the precision of channel estimation had been improved.
