Abstract
We have fabricated an active add-drop filter (ADF) using an erbium-ytterbium co-doped microsphere resonator and have achieved 25-fold Q-enhancement, 4-fold increase in efficiency and crosstalk of 2%. This ADF provides equal add and drop efficiencies.
