Abstract :
When collecting sensor array data, the major constraints are cost and ease of use. A good data collection network should be easily scalable to the task at hand, inexpensive, and easy to implement. With recent technology it is possible to design inexpensive wireless sensor networks that can handle many nodes. This study implements a sensor system that can be configured into a network for data collection. The user needs only to activate the individual components within proximity of each other. The system will take multiple sensor types depending on the user´s needs and transmit the data to a central location.
