Abstract
Passive filter is widely used in the fields of harmonics suppression and reactive power compensation of power networks for its low cost. In this paper, chaotic genetic algorithm is proposed, which is applied to parameters optimization of passive filter. Through modifying the mutation operator, mutation rate and crossover rate, and introducing chaotic sequence to avoid local optimum, the optimization efficiency and precision are improved. Test function and case study show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
