Abstract :
We derive a lower bound for the capacity of a communication channel comprising a memoryless nonlinearity such as a saturating amplifier, and distortion by additive white gaussian noise. The channel input is a bandlimited bandpass process, channel input and output are assumed to be zero-mean and stationary. The bound´s integral expression is evaluated and plotted for the case of a transmit signal with constant power spectral density.
