Abstract :
This paper describes a Chinese nationwide interconnected grid. Based on the results of power system analysis, some technical problems of the interconnected grid are discussed, such as the stability reduction, voltage instability, mutual impact of HVDC line fault on the sending and receiving system, loop flow, power oscillation and short-circuit current levels. In the view of the power system, the possibility of applying AC 800 kV and 1200 kV in China before the year 2020 is studied
