Abstract
Different multiple antenna schemes are evaluated for the high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) feature of UMTS using a dynamic system level simulator. It is shown that advanced terminal receiver architectures with single antenna transmission provide similar performance gains as BLAST with two antennas at the base station and at user equipment.
