  • Abstract
In this paper, we present a high-speed iris recognition system based on DM6446 and put forward by a DSP and ARM dual-core embedded system processing platform, DM6446 is TMS320DM6446 abbreviation, which the TI company produces the high level of integration video processing chip. The system has integrated with the image acquisition, image processing, recognition and has advantages of high speed, small size, and low power consumption. It is not only faster and more effective than single-core DSP, but it also has the function of real-time display, which can help the users to easily capture the perfect image that they need. The system use for the registration and the correct recognition of human iris, we use the traditional iris identification algorithm, which has high recognition rate and with good stability, after the success of the iris matching, the plate will show personal information which is already registered to data base. The test shows that the iris image can be correctly identified by the system. In addition, this board can also be used for face recognition, license plate recognition and fingerprint recognition, etc
