Abstract :
This paper presents a CORDIC (COordinate Rotation Digital Computer) implementation of a normalized ARMA lattice filter. Since the proposed method uses a simplified CORDIC algorithm it is possible to implement the CORDIC ARMA lattice filter with a reduced amount of hardware. In addition, we propose a method which transforms the CORDIC ARMA lattice filter realized for signal analysis into a signal synthesis filter without an increase in the implementation complexity. Moreover, the proposed filter can identify unknown-input models so that it can be widely used in digital signal processing
