Abstract
AFCI(Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) is currently used to prevent electric fire due to arc fault. However, since AFCI is not as widely used as ELB (Earth Leakage Breaker), most of electric networks have potential risks of electric fire. Although these risks do not necessarily lead to electric fire due to arc fault, outputs of SMPS and filter used in most of home appliances can be significantly changed. This paper will analyze the possible impacts of arc fault on SMPS appliances.
