  • Abstract
    Computer technology has radically changed the work of dictionary compilation and brought about a revolution in the writing of dictionaries. Computer-based corpora have an important effect on work of modern lexicography. The article has discussed the shortcomings and disadvantage of pre-electronic corpora in lexicography. It has exposited the effect of computer-based corpora on modern lexicography and the obvious changes and the merits of dictionary writing on the basis of computer-based corpora with exemplification. In conclusion, besides the impact mentioned, it is sure that there are some significant potential influence existing there waiting for further exploration and use.
