Abstract :
The first and second-order iterative solutions of the scalar radiative transfer equation for a layer of random non-spherical particles are derived. An iterative method for retrievals of the Legendre coefficients of the phase function linking with the physical parameters of small spheroids is developed. Using two measurements of azimuth distribution of bistatic scattering, the dielectric constant of random small spheroids and number of particles per unit area are iteratively inverted.
