Abstract :
The main goal in this paper is to present a linear induction motor parameter determination method when its destination is mainly the thrust development. This method is developed basically from the equivalence between the linear induction motor (LIM) and the ordinary asymmetrical induction motor. In this case the theory of symmetrical and asymmetrical components or positive, negative and zero sequence is used. Experimental procedures with the LIM prototype can support the theoretical and experimental validation for this method
