Abstract :
This paper describes a new method of ozone generation particularly suited to use in water treatment. The authors present harmonic analysis and the ozone concentration generated by a new type of ozone generation. Relative harmonic distortions in line input have been investigated experimentally. The experimental results were obtained using a concentric cylinder with brush electrode separated by a glass tube. This configuration can avoid breakdown. Essentially AC high voltage is derived from a high voltage transformer, which is controlled by a flyback converter. The ozone generator can produce 64 ppm ozone at 15 kV output and switching frequency approximately 20 kHz. Finally, the effects of corona discharge power on the corona surrounding temperature and its relationship with ozone concentration have also been investigated
