  • Abstract
This paper presents a new method for calculating the Spectral-Domain dyadic Green´s function for a layered structure consisting of anisotropic sub- and/or superstrates which may include conductors of finite thickness in different layers. Although there have been several contributions to the problem of considering anisotropic substrate materials in the Spectral-Domain technique in the last years (see e. g.[1], [2]), to the best of the authors´ knowledge this is the first time, an iterative algorithm is introduced which considers finite metallization thickness allowing currents in all coordinate-directions using the volume conductivity of the conductor instead of the surface-resistance and does not only yield the fields in the source region but in any other layer of the structure in a quite simple manner. This is especially important for the calculation of transmission line properties, e. g. loss and the characteristic impedance.
