Abstract :
In order to study the influences of the strong electric field ionizing radiation on the growth and development of rice seedlings, seed of rice SHENYOU-97125 were radiated with different excitation voltages in the same time or with the same excitation voltage in different times. It was found that compared with the control groups, the fresh weight of shoots and roots changed slightly, the root activities increased significantly, malondialdehyde (MDA) content of rice seedlings were all in the low level. After the seed were treated with excitation voltage of 130V in 10 seconds or excitation voltage of 100V in 25 seconds, the activities of α-amylase and transaminase of rice seedlings increased notably, the activities of catalase(CAT) and peroxidase (POD) decreased significantly. The results showed that these two kinds of radiation treatments could promote the growth and protein synthesis in rice seedlings, had made rice seedlings decrease injurant substance producing of reactive oxygen species, and had not caused the membrane detriment of cells.
