Abstract :
A combination of response surface methodology (RSM) and charge simulation method (CSM) is proposed and applied to calculate the electric field of a vacuum circuit breaker (VCB). The distribution of electric field with higher calculation precision has been achieved. And the calculation work has been reduced. Moreover, a new strategy for calculating and analyzing the unbounded electric field with thin electrode and multi dielectric medium was obtained.
