Abstract :
Capabilities of active remote sensing for detection of soil erosion processes were studied by using X- and Ka-band operating scatterometers. Destruction speed of the surface roughness, their dependence on the rate of soil erosion and influence on radar scattering were investigated. After commonly occurred system tillage of eroded filed a significant distinction was observed in radar backscattering from fields areas with different rate of soil erosion three weeks later.
