Abstract :
Information Technology was reported to be vital energy consumer in world and about two to five percent of total energy in world is utilized by IT infrastructure. Therefore, IT scientists started proposing solutions to reduce energy consumption through smart approaches. Some of these approaches are using renewable resources to power on computing devices; other approaches are decreasing IT infrastructure capability. These approaches are proofing the reduction of emission; however it is not considering the adaptive services and consumers demand. In this paper we propose (1) a classification of power consumption contributors, (2) a definition for relationships among these contributors, and (3) a polymorphic approach to achieve the quality of service. Our proposal is pioneer as it involves the quality of service and its relationship with other contributors. This approach is a mandatory requirement for future services toward the Green Internet of Things.
