Abstract :
This paper outlines the development status of an L-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) antenna demonstrator undertaken by an industrial consortium under contract to the European Space Agency (ESA). Its aim is to verify the technology and the satisfactory performance of the SAR active antenna in advance of the development of the full L-band SAR instrument
