Abstract
A new type of Class E rectifier which can regulate the output voltage or power is proposed. The proposed circuit consists of a conventional Class E zero-voltage-switching rectifier and a switch-controlled capacitor (SCC) which is a parallel circuit of a capacitor and an active switch. The proposed rectifier can regulate the output voltage or power by changing the shunt capacitance with turning the active switch on or off. In the circuit experiment of the Class E rectifier using one SCC, the output voltage was regulated from 4.80 V with 0.452 W to 3.11 V with 0.190 W at the operating frequency 1.00 MHz. The experimental results show good agreement with the analysis and the simulation results.
