Abstract
In this paper, we address the problem of DOA estimation for speech signal with a linear equal space microphone array. Based on the speech signal spectrum, a frequency selective wideband DOA method is proposed without a priori knowledge about the source location. Resampling, spatial interpolation and least square technique are employed in the proposed DOA estimation for the far field and near field cases. Computer simulations results show that the proposed method can be used to estimate the DOA of the speech signal at a low signal to noise ratio and with strong interferences and reverberations
