Abstract :
In this paper a general 180° hybrid ring coupler is presented. Analytic design fornulas allow a simple design. Small coupler dimensions and wide bandwidth may be attained using coplanar strips. Couplers have been demonstrated both at low microwave frequencies (6 Ghz) and in the millimeter-wave range (38 GHz).
