Abstract :
A derivative algorithm was adapted to deal with spectral data acquired in narrow, continuous bands as truly spectrally continuous data. An investigation on intelligently detecting spectral features from a synthetic spectrum and a laboratory vegetation spectrum demonstrated the use of derivative algorithm in extraction of subtle information at different spectral scales of interest
