Abstract :
An optimization model for deploying short circuit current limiters is presented. The problem is modelled as a 0-1 mixed integer programming problem. The mathematic model is solved by a discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm (DPSO). The results of a 107-bus system in East China are provided to validate the possible applications of the proposed method.
