Abstract :
An oscillator with several tunneling devices in series has a demanding excitation condition due to the difference in the I-V characteristics of the individual devices [1] and to the intrinsic DC instability. One way to solve this problem is to apply DC bias using a fast electrical pulse. Theoretical analysis and simulation results for the required slope of the electrical pulse are presented in this paper.
