Abstract :
Cooperative communication enables distributed terminals with a single antenna to form a virtual multiple antenna system and benefits from diversity. In this paper quasi-cyclic LDPC codes are applied to both amplify-and-forward cooperative scheme and decode-and-forward scheme over Rayleigh fading half-duplex relay channel. Simulation results show excellent performance of quasi-cyclic LDPC codes with cooperative schemes compared to the same codes in direct link communication of AWGN channel and Rayleigh channel. Compared to amplify-and-forward scheme, it is shown that decode-and-forward scheme is more sensitive to the path-loss fading.
